It’s a new day at Liberty!

Liberty Baptist Church has been ministering and serving in the Finchley/Skipwith/Boydton area of Mecklenburg County for nearly 175 years.

Today, Liberty Baptist Church seeks to follow God’s vision as we journey together, striving to embody these four Biblical values:

  • Worship - Participatory, intentional, and intergenerational worship of God is at the heart of what we do as a congregation.

  • Discipleship - We believe in equipping followers of Christ to discover their calling in the world through study of Scripture, prayer, leadership development, and faithful living.

  • Mission - Our local church, along with all churches, has been commissioned to share God’s love and purpose to our community and the world, and everywhere in-between.

  • Fellowship - We strive to create an environment where everyone is known by name, for we believe that God wants us to genuinely care for one another.

Liberty’s pastor, Rev. Nathan White, began serving the church full-time in December 2018. Together, we are eagerly seeking God’s vision for the church. As we begin expanding our ministries in 2019, we would love for you to join us!

Sunday School for all ages begins at 10:00am and Worship is at 11:00am. Bible Study will begin in January and more events throughout the winter and spring will be planned.

Liberty Baptist Church is affiliated with and supports the following organizations:

  • Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, a Christian network of individuals and churches working together to spread the hope of Christ. CBF has a diverse community includes partners all over the globe, whose fellowship supports a wide range of missions and ministries that give people meaningful opportunities to put their faith into action.

  • Baptist General Association of Virginia, a cooperative missions and ministry organization that consists of over 1,400 autonomous churches in Virginia, as well as churches in two other countries and 16 other states and Washington, DC.

  • Concord Baptist Association, a group of 30 churches in Brunswick, Charlotte, Greensville, and Mecklenburg Counties in Virginia who have voluntarily joined together for the purpose of prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and missions.

We would love for you to join our story as we seek to learn and live out the best story ever - the story of God’s Kingdom forever changing our world through his son, Jesus Christ.
